This blog is a taste of the paintings I have been working on recently. My blog is new from today (19th September 2010) so please be paitient as I am still working around the system and getting used to what format looks best. At the moment my studio has a few large oil paintings in progress, I normally deal with semi-abstact landscapes that reflect my local area of Albany, Western Australia. Here is a taste of some of the larger works in progress.

i live in a really beautiful place.

as you can see all of the above are very much works in  progress. As they are more finished I will update the work. As well as large oils I am interested in ink drawing and watercolours. I am wanting very much to get into children's books as an illustrator. There are many writers here in Albany, so i will hopefully get something off the ground. Here are some examples of my querky ink drawings - I let my imagination go a little and have some fun, hope you enjoy them.

My studio and some more paintings..

here are some more images for you to look at. Some of these paintings are from my first exhibition from when I was just a lass. My technique has changed quite abit, but thankfully I still like them.

During the time of painting this I was going through some rather "practical & experiential" spiritual times. I have had some great experiences and during this time (around my early 20's) I pretty much said if I read about it I didn't take it for granted - I went out and did it for myself. Consequently I have tried to find out about all religious and spiritual practices. During the time of this painting i was involved in a group who practiced ritual mainly involved in High Magic with Kabbalah practices and theory. I am still interested in such theory, but mainly ancient texts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and in particular the Book of Enoch. I am particularly interested in the link between Kabbalah and DNA activation and CHAOS, if there is such a link.
